Mercedes-Benz India 30% sales growth YOY 2013 thus far
Mercedes-Benz India began the year with a sales growth estimate that hovered around a double digit figure. Attaining sustainable and increased sales hasn’t been a last ditch attempt with Mercedes-Benz India having registered 31% growth through the Q1-Q3 2013 when compared to the same 9 months in 2012.
By the end of September 2013, the star automaker had sold 6461 luxury units when compared to 4938 units sold in Jan-Sep 2012. Without a doubt this has been the best year in terms of sales for MB India with 2013 sales volumes being the highest number of cars sold by the company here ever.
Their ‘Year of Offensive’ did pay dividends. For 2014 too Mercedes-Benz India has double digit growth estimates. Having sold 7,138 vehicles in 2012, MB India will end the year with close to 9,300 units sold. There’s also a chance to meet the elusive 10,000 luxury cars sold in a year target if they hit the mark in Q1 of 2014 to and achieve sales of 10,000 units for the FY 2013-14. Through 2013, Mercedes-Benz India did launch 8 vehicles. The year gone by has been testimony to the sentiment ‘Mercedes Benz India’s new Head to overturn decline in sales.’ Past President & CEO of Mercedes-Benz Taiwan, Eberhard Kern has as Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India laid a strong foundation for 2014, the ‘Year of Excellence’ here.
