Mercedes-Benz India strengthens Advanced Mechatronics course in Pune and Aurangabad

In further strengthening its Advanced Mechatronics course in Pune and Aurangabad, Mercedes-Benz India is making available new gen cars for training and latest Star Diagnosis units to Government Polytechnic, Pune and Government Polytechnic,
Aurangabad.

The CSR initiative ensures successful running of the course. MBIL’s partnership with Government Polytechnic heralds modernization, practical relevance and flexibility of vocational education and training in India. Mercedes-Benz’ involvement lets students gauge and learn key competencies that are crucial when adapting to modern day industrial requirements.

Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India says the Advanced Mechatronics course takes into its realm increasing complexity of technical processes whereby a trained workforce is competent in mechanical, electronic and informatics skills alongside modern automation technologies. The programme also helps develop interpersonal skills.

A third Mercedes-Benz car has been donated to Government Polytechnic Pune and a second car to Government Polytechnic
Aurangabad. Advanced Mechatronics course designed by Mercedes-Benz is being run by 3 Government Polytechnics in Pune
and Aurangabad since 2006 and 2009, respectively. In 2013, it was introduced in Government Engineering College Trivandrum (GECBH).
