Mercedes-Benz celebrates a million Instagram fans, India focus
St. Moritz Art Masters (SAM) scheduled from 22 – 31 August 2014 in St. Moritz and the Oberengadin region is devoted entirely to India. With artistic contribution in mind, Mercedes-Benz is focusing on social media.
For opening night of the 10-day St. Moritz Art Masters’ Mercedes-Benz invited art lovers to its Art Lounge at the Posthaus. India was the focal country for the evening. Amshu Chukki’s video action being this year’s highlight, his creativity approached new-gen CLS and artworks in public spaces. Images of the process are being shared on Mercedes-Benz social media channels.
This project is part of Mercedes-Benz’s outlook this year to closely link its commitment to art through social media activities. Fans will be able to participate in the Swiss arts event through global social networks. Amshu Chukki’s artwork to celebrate a million Mercedes-Benz Instagram fans makes its world début here. The Vadodara/ Baroda born multimedia and video artist is this year’s St. Moritz Art Masters artist-in-residence.
Mercedes-Benz Art Lounge offers visitors and art lovers a meeting point in the centre of St. Moritz. The lounge also houses the official information counter, and ‘social wall’taht refelcst all that’s being posted about St. Moritz Art Masters live on social networks. The hashtag #MBSAM can be used to join in. It’s also the chosen venue for Artist Talks, and a starting point for guided art tours on the “Walk of Art”. Apart from vehicle displays, Mercedes-Benz shuttle service presses into service S-Class sedans and e-bikes for VIP guest transportation to varied art events.
