Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG Coupe auction for amfAR Foundation benefit
Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG are making their presence felt at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival with product and brand presentations. Using the film festival platform between 14 to 25 May, Mercedes-Benz and AMG vehicles will be seen regaling audiences. A branded S and V-Class will be used as shuttle vehicles.
The 67th Film Festival hosts a charity auction on 22 May 2014 during the prestigious “Cinema Against AIDS Gala” at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc of a S 63 AMG Coupe for the benefit of the amfAR Foundation. Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team driver and amfAR Co-Chairman Lewis Hamilton will present the S 63 AMG Coupe alongwith advising and informing the winning bidder about individual configuration and appointments of the sporty performance car.
S 63 AMG Coupe is powered by a 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine developing 430 kW (585 hp) and 900 nm of torque. The individually configured S 63 AMG Coupe’s handover will take place at AMG company headquarters in Affalterbach. The winning bidder and Hamilton will also get together at Formula 1 Paddock Club during a racing weekend.
Mercedes-Benz is represented during the landmark “Cinema Against AIDS Gala” in Cannes as a “signature sponsor”, and as a partner during the amfAR Gala in Milan. The luxury automaker also presented itself at the amfAR Gala in New York for the first time this year. these past 2 years has seen Mercedes-Benz establish itself as a partner of the amfAR Foundation, which is committed to the global battle against AIDS since 1985.
