Mercedes Benz has revealed information about its new SL 63AMG. The revamped look of the stylish car will be unveiled later during Paris Motor Show. News about the car being light has got car enthusiasts all excited. Yes, because of extensive use of aluminum the emerging SL63 weighs 4,059 pounds, 275 pounds lighter than the previous variant.
The engine is a 5.5 liter twin charged (Biturbo) that delivers 537 bhp and produces 800 Nm torque. Fasten your seatbelts! The new machine does 0 to 100 kms per hour in less than 4.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250 kms per hour, however if speed is an addiction, you can avail of a AMG Performance package to boost speed up to 300 kms per hour.
The new SL63 AMG will come with 7-speed automated manual transmission. Up front there will be 390 mm discs (6-piston calipers) and on the rear will be 360 mm discs adorned with single floating calipers. The 19 inch alloys on the new SL63 are stunning. Mileage is pegged at 10.1 kmpl, 30% more than the outgoing variant.
