Mercedes Benz SLS AMG tuning package by Vath for €85,130 (Photos)

Innovative minds at Bavarian tuning firm Vath, have designed a new package for the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG highlights of which are the supercharged engine kit and an optimized ECU. As compared to the past specification of the roadster, these new specifications provide a supercharged atmosphere providing a serious performance upgrade. The engine has undergone a total revamp and one can appreciate the fact that total output has been lifted from 563 hp to 691hp. This revamp has also increased the peak torque criteria from about 650 Nm to 850 Nm. This makeover on the 6.2 L V-8 engine will allow users to sit back and enjoy the feel of driving this road monster.

The overall design of the car remains unchanged. The wing shaped cross fins and the star recess in the radiator grille retains a highly glossed finish. Exterior mirrors, fins on the bonnet and wings along with darkened headlamps and tail lights. Red painted brake calipers provide a macho look to this roadster. A new front apron, boot spoiler and side skirts designed from carbon fiber as also new 20 inch alloy wheels for both front and rear axel are some of the features added to this roadster. The interior boasts of a carbon fiber trim as opposed to the factory model.

This supercharged engine allows the roadster to hit 0-100 kmph within a short span of 3.6 seconds while it can be raced to sport a topspeed of 330 kmph. This is an impressive 0.2 seconds and 13 kmph improvement respectively, if considering the factory model.

A high performance braking system, along with a stainless steel exhaust module with throttle control and a revamped AMG RIDE CONTROL technology are some of the other features of the tuned up roadster. The entire package is priced at €85,130 (US$104,400 or Rs 57.80 lacs ) in German markets, above the €177,310 ($216,000 or Rs 1.20 crores) price tag of SLS AMG.
