Mercedes Benz C Class India launch today: Watch LIVE webcast here

Mercedes Benz 2015 C Class will be initially presented only in a petrol guise and to be followed by a diesel variant sometime in early 2015. To compete with Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series, the new Mercedes Benz C Class was unveiled at the CeBIT earlier this month.

To be imported into India from Europe, prices will vary between INR 30 to 35 lakhs while on board features will include LED lights, a 13 speaker Burmester sound system, 8.4 inch infotainment system and touchpad controller. The new C Class will also possess LED ambient lighting, three zone climate controls and a panoramic sunroof while it will sit on 17” alloy wheels.

2015 Mercedes Benz C-200 petrol will be powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four cylinder engine producing 181 bhp peak power at 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 7 speed dual clutch transmission. The new C Class is based on a new MRA – Mercedes Rear wheel drive Architecture platform.

Due to increased use of aluminium, weight is reduced by 100 kgs while the new sedan is 95mm longer, 40mm wider and 5mm shorter than its predecessor. Dimensions now stands at 4,686mm in length, 1,810mm in width and 1,442mm in height while it sits on a wheelbase measuring 2,840mm. Boot space is increased to 480 liters thus making the new C Class more comfortable and spacious.

2015 Mercedes C Class receives Agility Select which offers 5 driving models to include Eco, Comfort, Sports and Sport+ and individual thus allowing drivers to select the mode that best suits their needs.
