Mercedes G 63 AMG Crazy Color Edition to be launched in India on July 30

Mercedes G 63 AMG Crazy Color Edition which was unveiled earlier this year would be sold in select markets at a premium and India is set to become one of those markets. Ditching the usual black and white color options, Crazy Color Edition, as the name suggests, dons an array of eye catching fluorescent paint jobs such as Solar Beam, Sunset Beam, Galactic Beam, Tomato Red and Alien Green.

Crazy Color Edition, as the name suggests, adds an array of vibrant glossy paint options.

Bumpers, wheel arches, wheels, ORVMs, door handles, rub strips and roof are finished in contrasting Obsidian Black. Inside, the special edition premium off-roader gets black Designo Nappa leather upholstery with exterior color-coordinated contrast stitching. A high-end Harmon Kardon surround sound is offered as an optional extra.

Internationally, Crazy Color Edition is offered in both V8-powered G 63 AMG and V12-powered G 65 AMG but only the former is expected to be available in India. The G 63 AMG houses a downsized 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine which dishes out 536 bhp and 760 Nm of torque. The mean off-roader is equipped with a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission with paddle shifters which transfers power to all the four wheels.

Only a limited number of special edition off-roaders will be allotted for India.

Mercedes India has been growing at an impressive pace this year, having launched half a dozen products already. The luxury automaker which is having an intense numbers battle with its compatriot Audi in India has promised to launch 15 new products this year.
