Mercedes Benz revealed their new Mercedes Ener-G-Force at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show scheduled from November 30 – December 9, for public viewing. Mercedes Benz has revealed that Ener-G-Force will be powered by four independently controlled motors each mounted on each of the four wheels. A topography scanner will be mounted on the roof to enable suspension to adjust and modify itself for varying terrain for maximum traction.
The concept will be powered by hydrogen fuel cells that will receive energy from recycled water received from tanks atop its roof while the water will be used in a hydro-tech converter turning natural and renewable resources into hydrogen while water will be Ener-G-Force’s only emission.Designed at Mercedes Advanced Design Studio in Carlsbad, California, its carbon fiber composite roller is built by Metalcrafters.
This concept will be most efficient in the future when traffic on roads increase substantially. Mercedes was looking into future at 2025 when crowded roads will need to be more effectively monitored and guided and this is where the Ener-G-Force will come into effect. Ener-G-Force will carry forward the genes seen in the Mercedes Benz G Model with its emergency lights situated at its roof enabling easy visibility of the road and traffic situation ahead. The vehicle will also possess a new radiator grille with headlamps and LED lights in the form of a “G”.
