Mercedes Benz new S Class diesel gets a turbocharged 3.0 litre V6 engine. Maximum power is rated at 258 bhp at 3,600 rpm and peak torque of 620 Nm is recorded between 1,600 and 2,400 rpm. 7G Tronic Plus (7 speed) Dual Clutch auto transmission sends power to rear wheels of S350 CDI limousine. Acceleration test shows S350 can do 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.8 seconds and reaches electronically limited top speed of 249 kmph.
New Mercedes S350 CDI will host a laundry list of luxury features, but the list will be quite shorter than its bigger brother S500 (Petrol). So far, it is widely believed that S350 CDI will not get individual seats as in S500, centre arm rest mounted table for rear passengers, cup holders with heating and cooling facility, night vision kit & 360 degree reversing camera for driver may also be missed in the S350.
