MINI India sells 302 cars in 2012
After unveiling MINI at the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, BMW Group opened first MINI India outlet in April 2012. For 2012, MINI sold 302 cars in the Indian auto industry, which is much better than competition.
Since its launch in April 2012, MINI cars have been appreciated by many individuals in India. Youthful design and cutting edge technology have allowed the brand to exceed expectations in Indian car markets. 2012 was a fruitful year for this brand as it sold 302 cars which included 143 MINI Coopers, 97 MINI Convertible variants and 62 MINI Countryman models.
Superior styling and quality coupled with driving fun makes these models compatible for all age groups. Such a profile from MINI has brought out a change in minds of buyers who often opt for quality rather than those inclusive of a fun factor. Efficient petrol engines and superior designed six speed automatic transmission systems are provided within these MINI models. Sales of MINI have been enhanced with opening of four outlets in the country of which two are situated in New Delhi while one is in Mumbai and Hyderabad respectively. Introduced as a premium brand in India in January 2012, the MINI model range is available in India as Completely Built-up (CBU) units.
MINI dealerships display MINI (MINI Cooper and MINI Cooper S), MINI Cooper Convertible and MINI Cooper S Countryman which are available in six-speed automatic transmission with powerful and efficient petrol variants.
MINI India has four exclusive outlets in the Indian market: Deutsche Motoren and Bird Automotive in Delhi (National Capital Region), Infinity Cars in Mumbai and KUN Exclusive in Hyderabad. By end of 2014, MINI will increase the number of dealerships to eight in India.
