Mitsubishi Mirage (Space Star) facelift – 2016 Geneva Motor Show LIVE

Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback, which goes by the name of Space Star in Europe, is a small city car, which has also been rumored to be launched in India sometime in 2017. Whether that happens or not, is still a long shot. But here’s the new Mirage facelift from the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

Overall, as compared to the old Mirage, the new Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback gets a revised front, and better quality plastics on the inside. Apart from this, small changes have also been made to its chassis so as to offer a more comfot and better-driving dynamics.
Mitsubishi Mirage city car has a wider upper grille upfront, and features bi-xenon lights . To the rear there are revised taillights and new bumper design. It also gets two new alloy wheel designs and body colours.

On the inside, Mirage uses new fabrics for seats. The steering wheel design is updated, and there’s more chrome inserts on the dashboard. There’s a DAB radio and an underfloor boot storage compartment. Hill-start assist is offered as a standard feature.

Mitsubishi says that chassis update with new springs and dampers has reduced body roll when cornering. Also, changes to the steering system has resulted in improved accuracy. Power to the new Mitsubishi Mirage comes from a 1.0 liter petrol engine that delivers 70 hp and 88 Nm via 5 speed MT.
At Geneva, along with Mirage facelift, Mitsubishi is showcasing two world premieres – L200, ASX GEOSEEK concepts. Apart from these, they also had the eX-Concept, whcih was first shown at Tokyo Motor Show last year.
