Japanese vehicle manufacturer, Mitsubishi Motors has reportedly started working on developing their third all electric vehicle. According to Nikkei, one of the largest media corporation in Japan, Mitsubishi has already begun to develop yet another electric vehicle. The latest electric vehicle from Mitsubishi Motors is a truck, which will be used majorly by contractors and farmers.
All new Mitsubishi electric truck is a light weight truck which will be powered by a small electric motor. This electric motor will be powering rear wheels of the truck. As of now Mitsubishi has not revealed any technical specifications about their new electric truck. Mitsubishi electric truck will be priced aggressively in order to capture a good chunk of the market. Of all the existing Mitsubishi electric vehicles, Mitsubishi electric truck will be the cheapest at $19,200 approximaely.
Mitsubishi Motors thoroughly believes that the future of auto industry is electric vehicles. The Japanese manufacturer has aimed to sell more than 42,000 electric vehicles in fiscal 2012 globally, which is twice the number of EV's sold by Mitsubishi in fiscal 2011.
