Mobius II has been designed to meet specific needs of African markets. Limited to production of just 50 numbers, the company has already received pre-orders for the car and have promised to produce more units based on demand. Mobius II will receive a 1.6 liter petrol engine offering 86 bhp peak power. To be locally assembled in Kenya, Mobius II will be rugged and versatile and ideally suited to tackle Kenya’s rugged terrain. It will be appropriate both for use as a passenger vehicle and for carrying of goods across dirt roads.
Recently, Mobius Motors received undisclosed capital investment from US billionaire Ronald Lauder and this investment will go a long way to assemble first set of vehicles and to establish a distribution network. The company will have its main showroom at Sameer Business Park along Nairobi’s Mombasa Road.
Through launch of new Mobius II, Mobius Motors endeavours to encourage transport entrepreneurs across Africa with best suited vehicles, taking into consideration uneven and difficult terrain. Besides this, the company also wishes to help with financing and business advice needed to operate sustainable transport centric operations. The company is building a revolutionary platform for mobility and promoting job opportunities across Africa. For more information, visit their website.
