Edoardo Mortara claimed his first victory at the Spielberg, Austria DTM. Winner of the fourth season round the 25 year old made his dream come true. Mortara covered 203,322 kms and crossed the finish line as the winner for the first time in a DTM. It was a spectacular event and a great win both for him and Audi.

Mortara was at pole position a day prior but saw victory eventually. He was followed a second later by Martin Tomczyk who crossed the finished line in a BMW M3 DTM which started fourth place on the grid but made its way full steam ahead to finish second and scored 18 points.

Gary Paffett of Mercedes Benz completed the podium. He started from second place and had to contend with Tomczky . In the drivers’ ratings, Paffett now is leading with 83 points.

After the first round of pit stops, all three cars had to battle it out for several laps till Mortara was able to get a lead over Tomczky. Edoardo was contented with his first victory in the 14th DTM race. He thanked Audi Sports and the Rosberg team for his victory and despite months of hard work it was his first reward that made him so ecstatic
