Motherson Sumi Systems Q2 FY2013-14 India sales increase 14%
Motherson Sumi Systems have posted a marginal increase in profits for the period ended September 30, 2013. During Q2 financial year 2013-14, the company’s net profits stood at INR 139.63 crores as against INR 137.58 crores in the same period in the previous year.
These results were particularly noteworthy considering the company had to suffer a month long annual shutdown in Europe during the summer holidays. Two new plants of the company in association with Samvardhana Motherson Group and Japan’s Sumitomo Wiring Systems are being readied at Schierling in Germany and Marysville in the US. Construction on both these plants have already commenced and expected to be ready to commence production in the not too distant future.
