Nano sales decline to 1504 units for Jan 2013: Tata by 30%
Total sales of Tata Motors which includes local and export sales of passenger and commercial vehicles were registered at 61,660 units for month of January 2013. Compared to Jan 2012 sales figures of 87,465, this is a decline by 29.50%
Coming back to Tata Motors sales for Jan 2013, their domestic sales that include passenger and commercial vehicles were registered at 57,780 units, compared to 80,382 last year. Sales of commercial vehicles for local markets was registered at 42,571 units while LCV and M&HV sales were registered at 33,849 and 8722 respectively. Cumulative fiscal sales for CV, LCV and M&HV were at 432941, 315041 and 117900 units respectively. During January 2013, passenger vehicle sales were 15,209 units which included sales of Nano, Indica, Indigo, Sumo, Safari, Aria and Venture models. For Jan 2012, these figures stood at 34,669 units. Company export sales for January 2013 were 3,880 while cumulative export sales for fiscal were at 43,283 units.
During January 2013, Tata Motors launched a new Tata Vista D90 model powered by a 90 PS quadrajet diesel equipped with hi-tech features. To help improve its dealership network all over Indian, Tata Motors also launched showrooms in Mumbai and New Delhi. These state of the art sales and service centers will be rolled out pan India in the coming months.
