Narain Karthikeyan is part of Team Impul Hoshino Racing in the 2014 Super Formula series
The countdown has started to the Super Formula, and here we look at the teams and the drivers that will race with Toyota Motors. Competing at the Suzuka Circuit on 13th April, teams will be seen with their new cars in the first race of an exciting season.
Toyota has developed a new two-litre four-cylinder RI4A direct-injection gasoline turbo engine to meet changes in technical rules this year, which which is being fitted in all 11 vehicles in seven teams. All vehicles will be fitted with Bridgestone tires.
Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian to have represented India at the Formula one will be racing for Team Impul Hoshino Racing and his car no is (20). He has also raced in A1GP, Le Mans and NASCAR among other motorsports events.
In the 2014 Super Formula series, his team mate will be Joao Paulo de Oliveira (Brazil) car no (19) as he continues to be a part of the team from last year.
Hiroaki Ishiura will be racing for the P.MU/CERUMO-INGING in car No.38, he has been racing in Super Formula since 2011. Japanese formula 3 champion Yuichi Nakayama will be seen single handedly putting up a fight for KCMG.
