New Hero HF Dawn TVC, lets mock our transport system

With TVS reviving the Victor brand, Honda refreshing its Dream and Shine lineup and Bajaj having just launched its new Platina, Hero MotoCorp is also set to update its lineup. The first on the charts is the 2015 Hero HF Dawn which is refreshed with some added features and 5 colours. Refreshed for 2015 model year, the new HF Dawn receives only cosmetic changes and retains same engine specs.

Though unsafe, the TVC promotes carrying luggage.

2015 Hero HF Dawn is priced competitively and said to be one of the most affordable motorcycles in the country. HF Dawn gets a new metal carrier behind pillion seat, side stand indicator and new body graphics besides 5 paint options to include silver, red and maroon besides two toned options of red and black, black and red.

2015 Hero HF Dawn measures 1,965 mm in length, 720 mm in width and 1,045mm in height. It has ground clearance of 165mm. While various updates are seen on the 2015 Hero HF Dawn, it will however continue with the same engine specifications which includes a 97.2 cc 4 stroke engine offering 8.36 PS peak power at 8,000 rpm and 8.05 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm mated to a 4 speed gearbox. The bike has telescopic front forks and dual shocks at the rear with drum brakes at both ends. It weighs a total of 109 kgs and possesses a fuel tank with capacities of 10.5 liters. Top speed is at 85 kmpl and fuel efficiency stands at 70-80 kmpl depending on road conditions.

To promote this new bike, Hero has launched a new TVC, which can now be seen on TV channels in India, or online. You can see the Hero HF Dawn TVC below.

The ad shows how everyone needs to buy a two wheeler (in this case a Hero HF Dawn), for daily travel and not use public transport. Why? Because if you don’t have a two wheeler, you need to get up early and rush to a bus-stop like your life depends on it. Even after somehow managing to rush through, you still miss the bus and make a face like you had been handed over a life sentence. All this while, the dude with HF Dawn is watching you, as he enjoys his morning cup of tea. Point in case, he has a HF Dawn, so he can relax.

There are two more similar instances in the Hero HF Dawn TVC, which blatantly mocks our pathetic transport system. Sadly, all three instances shown in the ad are very real.

What do you think of the TVC, leave your responses in the comments section below.
