Lamborghini claims the smartphone takes the most luxurious selfie in the world.

The luxury gadget company does not have a business link with Lamborghini automobiles, but the former was established by Tonino Lamborghini, the son of the legendary auto designer Ferruccio Lamborghini.

The new smartphone was launched just ahead of 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The handset is made of stainless steel and leather exterior, with a variety of colour options. The 88 Tauri handset is available in black, gold and silver finish on stainless steel parts, while the high-grade leather gets five colour choices. Each unit is hand built and comes with unique device number.

Specifications of Lamborghini smartphone include quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 64GB internal storage, 3GB RAM, five inch high definition display, 20 megapixel camera and duel sim support with the ability to connect to mobile networks around the world. The device will not be locked to any particular carrier. Battery of 3400 mAh is said to provide up to 35 hours of talk time on 3G networks and standby of 1,000 hours. Last but not least, the phone will come with 13 ringtones exclusively mixed by DJ Ravin.

Bob Hatefi, Chief Executive Officer at Lamborghini Mobile, says the company is not after volume.
