New SKODA Rapid compact saloon to debut at 2012 Paris Motor Show

The new Skoda Rapid compact saloon will be debuting at the Paris Automobile Salon this month. This new model has been designed keeping in mind the brand name and its strategy to influence the world market. The model will be launched in European markets at the end of this October. Clever solutions, increased space and a car for the family are the main features that are imbued in this model. Notable feature of this car is its increased headroom and knee room space which according to reports is the best in its class.

Intelligent solutions like the ice scraper cap, reversible floor covering for the floor and boot as also the practical holder under the driver’s seat is the main features of this vehicle. Passive safety equipment options have also been added to this car. The car will be powered by an assortment of engines which include four petrol variants, two diesel engines and five specially designed and tested green versions which will be available at the launch.

SKODA has been looking to design cars which will be sued by individuals in every corner of the world. Keeping this in mind, the Chinese and Russian version of thee Rapid will be launched in the months to follow. The Indian market too has seen quite a considerable boost with increased sales. 60% percent of the sales were due to the increase in customer demands for the new variant. SKODA has also carved a name for itself in the racing circuit with good performances in the European rally championship and Intercontinental rally challenge. Good results in these formats ahs showcased the hardened spirit of the SKODA MOTORSPORT team in doing well no matter the situation/challenge in front of them.
