New Tata Safari Storme SUV launch this month

Tata Motors have confirmed that Safari Storme, their new Sports Utility Vehicle is ready for official launch. Showcased at the Delhi Auto Show earlier this year, the SUV was expected to be launched in July and later in September, but was hounded by delays. Now the company has confirmed that they will go ahead with the much awaited launch of the new Tata Safari Storme later this month.

Tata Safari Storme is based on the Tata Aria platform. It will possess a 2.2 liter diCOR engine mated to a 5 speed manual transmission gearbox. This engine will be capable of generating 138 bhp peak power and 320 Nm torque. Interiors have been done up in wood finish while seats are exclusively upholstered. Priced in the Rs.8 lakh to Rs.10 lakh category, Storme is expected to be launched with 2WD and 4WD options.

Exteriors comprise of refurbished headlamps with projectors, chrome radiator grille, new front bumper and round fog lamps. The Tata Safari Storme will possess features such as music, power steering, power windows with auto up facility, electronically adjustable ORVM, central locking system with remote and an ergonomic driver’s seat with height adjustment and lumbar support.
