Volvo India will be launching the sportier looking S60 sedan, S60 Cross Country in India by early 2016. Offered with high ground clearance and in an AWD format, S60 Cross Country will be priced at a premium of INR 4-5 lakhs over the current S60 sedan (priced from INR 34.40 lakh, ex-showroom). It will also be seen with same equipment seen on top spec S60 with front wheel drive and all wheel drive options.
Volvo S60 Cross Country sedan is aimed at buyers who are adventure seekers. The car comes with high ride height, 65mm over the standard S60 sedan. The new S60 Cross Country comes in four door body style. Interiors are premium with a new dashboard design, quality material seen throughout its cockpit and an instrument cluster dominated by four digital gauges and TFT screen displaying a host of driving aids and trip specific information.

This includes D5, 2.4 liter 5 cylinder diesel engine offering 188 bhp power at 4,000 rpm and 420 Nm torque at 1,500-3,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels.
There is also a D4 2.0 liter 4 cylinder diesel engine option offering 178 bhp power at 4,250 rpm and 400Nm torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm while where petrol engines are concerned, the sedan sports a 2.5 liter 5 cylinder petrol engine offering 247 bhp power at 5,400 rpm and 360 Nm torque at 1,800-4,200 rpm mated to a 6 speed automatic gearbox sending power to all four wheels.
In India, the S60 will be sold as a CBU, and only with one engine option – D4 178 hp.
