Nisan Motor India has locked horns with their dealers across India due to which all Nissan dealers are refusing to accept fresh stocks of vehicles. The main obstacle is the issue regarding master franchisee Hover Automotive India. This has caused Nissan dealers to form a separate forum called Nissan Dealer Forum which opens communications with Nissan Motors of Japan without assistance of Hover Automotive India.

Since this has caused such discord, management of Nissan India addressed their dealers and tackled their concerns at a conference held on Tuesday in Chennai. Nissan India spokesperson when questioned stated that the company has always worked in liaison with HAI ever since they entered the Indian auto sector in 2005. They have seen sales increase three fold and have launched five new models which include Micra, Evalia and Sunny while dealerships have increased to cover 70% of the market.

The relationship of Nissan Motors with HAI is strong and the company works to develop markets, expand sales and drive performance in India. Dealers are upset that the company is not taking local sales into perspective but instead concentrating more on exports. Nissan dealers feel that their facilities are lying neglected due to lower domestic sales while they have to resort to service and spares in the light of failing sales in the country.
