Nissan India expands with new launches, Datsun and GT Academy
Nissan’s global partnership with Habitat for Humanity sees the automaker work on sustainable communities in Japan, Australia, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, US, Myanmar and Vietnam.
Expanding product range in India, Asean, Oceana and Middle East is expected to boost sales growth in these markets. Nissan’s growth plans include Datsun’s modern day global resurrection. Through 2014, new Datsun launches will foster strong sales in high-potential markets, India, Russia, Indonesia and South Africa. Q1 2014 was instrumental in paving the way for Datsun in India with GO production and sales initiated. This was followed by Datsun GO-plus production and sales in Indonesia. In Russia, Datsun on-Do sedan was shown for the first time in April 2014. Production is expected to begin in July, and mi-Do hatchback is expected to be shown soon. Datsun Go+ MPV will be launched in India soon.
Nissan India has been actively involved in road safety improvement emphasising on increased seat belt use through its Nissan Safety Driving Forum across 5 cities here committed toward a zero-fatality future.
Nissan India has also connected with a younger audience these past few months through Nissan GT Academy in its endeavour to give gamers a chance to shift to real world racing through its unique #gamertopro platform.
