From Playstation to real life: Nissan GT Academy is back in India

Are you good at car racing games, especially Playstation? Would you want to become a car racer in real life, and that too without investing a single penny? Here’s your chance.

After a successful first season, Nissan India is back with the second season of Nissan GT Academy. In order to participate, all you have to do is to register yourself at www.nissan.in/innovation/gt-academy. Once registered, you will have to contest yourself against other participants. This you can do either at a pre-decided date and venue (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai), or via online qualification on Playstation Gran Turismo 6. The top 20 will then get through the next round.

These twenty finalists now compete in national finals. Here they will have to prove themselves not only as best car racing gamers, but also as real life drivers, fitness, and media-friendly skills. The top 6 from this will then qualify Silverstone Race Camp, in the UK.

Now into phase three, the top six from India will now have to compete and prove their metal against top performers from other countries in the region as well (who too are at the Silverstone Race Camp). Only one from this gets to go into the next round, the ultimate prize, – a chance to race in the Dubai 24 Hours Endurance Race in January 2016 with Nissan Racing Team. And for all this, you don’t have to spend a single Rupee.
