With the booking of Nissan Leaf now open in United States, it has created a kind of price war amongst dealers in San Francisco. Since last week, when the booking opened, dealers in San Francisco have been offering discount of $500 to $1000. Because of this, Leaf which is expected to cost around $22,000 and additional $2,200 for home charging kit will be charges differently at different dealers as they have been offering different discount rates.

Nissan Leaf will be able to run for over 100 miles on a single charge, which is more than what 95% of Americans drive on an average daily. Due to this reason along with a cheaper price tag, Nissan Leaf is making many car buyers interested. California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Tennessee will be getting Leaf by December this year as Nissan starts a phase wise launch. Other states of US will get Nissan Leaf by next year.
