Nissan has announced launch of Phase – 2 of Nissan Safety Driving Forum (NSDF). Phase 1 commenced earlier this year in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai while Phase 2 gets off to a flying start, covering five Indian cities of Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Amritsar.
The purpose of this forum is to raise awareness about road safety and bring to the fore various safety technologies aboard Nissan vehicles.
Phase 2 commenced in Bangalore last week and will cover all five cities in India with a bid to develop safe mindsets among Indian drivers, create an all round awareness about road safety and to support the cause for reduction of fatalities and injuries during road accidents.
The event will enumerate various factors that contribute to road safety via simulator devices and other modes of interaction while it will be impressed upon participants the urgent need on the use of both seatbelts and airbags.
Simulators will mimic real life driving conditions and will concentrate on various driving aspects such as car control, lane discipline and scanning for vehicles. Those taking the simulator test will be shown their positive and negative driving techniques so that they can improve on them. NSDF represents an INR 90 million investment to date which showcased the company’s deep commitment to safe driving.
