Nissan Safety Driving Forum India car safety technologies and safe driving

Nissan has launched its new Nissan Safety Driving Forum in the country to draw special emphasis on safe driving. The forum will bring into focus road safety and added advantages of various safety technologies being introduced in vehicles. A special program was conducted in Mumbai over the past weekend and was held at Inorbit Mall in Malad.

A similar program was held earlier this month in Delhi while one even is planned to be held in Chennai later. Participants are taken through various safety features through use of displays and simulators. They were taught the nuances of vital importance in use of seatbelts and how airbag deploy in impact. Participants were also given the opportunity to take test drives on Nissan vehicles while being shown the host of safety features being offered by Nissan in their various models.

This endeavor is being conducted across cities in India in view of rise in road accidents in the recent past. Drivers and co passengers will be guided through various road safety features and practices in the company bid to demonstrate that road safety begin and ends with driver’s consciousness and concerned awareness. Mr. Takayuki Ishida, Managing Director & CEO, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, said, “The growing number of cars on Indian roads has also resulted in increased number of accidents.
