Ever felt a bit weird having to wait for your car to be delivered after booking? Well, now there's a chance that you step into the store and drive back home, just like that. Tata Motors has great plans for their world cheap venture, the Nano.
The move would be made possible because of production increase at the Gujarat factory. Initial plans are to make cars available to clear backlog sin Maharashtra, and then venture out to other cities over the months to come. At present, as is the norm, interested buyers book a Nano by paying a nominal amount. This could soon be a thing of the past with cars rolling out at quick pace. Increased production at Sanand is paving the way for better vehicle availability, and delivery.
There are no dates to go by as of now, but it'll all be done in quick time. Tata Motors is aiming to reach its monthly 20,000 cars production limit at Sanand by year end, and then target the yearly 3.5 lakh vehicles a year.
