On the brink of 4th title, Vettel says Schumacher was more dominant
Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel is on the brink of winning his 4th consecutive title. The world of Formula 1 has seen a similar kind of dominance back in the early 2000 when the combination of Ferrari and Michael Schumacher brought five consecutive constructor’s and driver’s title home. Comparing the two, Vettel says that, it is Schumacher, who was more dominating in those five years, compared to the his last four years, reveals The Telegraph.
When Vettel wins his 4th title, he will join the ranks of Michael Schumacher and Juan Manuel Fangio of Argentina as the only trio to win four consecutive titles. His win will also result in Vettel being the youngest of the exclusive list to have achieved four straight titles.
Vettel has won three of the last four Grand Prix in Japan and he rates Japan as his favorite GP events. All odds are in his favor. Vettel is still a long way off where points are concerned and will have to contend with Ferrari driver Alonso who has also seen victory in Japan both in 2006 and in 2008.
If Vettel does not manage to win the title in Japan, he has the, Indian Grand Prix, where he has been victorious on both occasions. 3rd and probably the last Indian GP is scheduled to take place on 25, 26 and 27th Oct 2013 at the Buddh International Circuit.
