Peter Sauber owner of Sauber Formula One Team slams critics that claim Formula 1 results are like a lottery
69 year old, Peter Sauber, team boss of Sauber Formula Team slammed critics that claimed Formula 1 results were more like a lottery. Amidst claims…
Peter Sauber mentioned an increase in competitiveness would automatically translate to unpredictability. He said that being in 20 years in the field o F1 racing had never been as exciting as it was now. Another factor that has had fans and teams in a spot of bother is Pirelli. Some drivers in Formula One have openly spewed venom in regard with quality of Pirelli tires.
Despite the unpredictability, the top end of the championship has familiar names such as McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Red Bull’s Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. Team Sauber seems to be having a rather good season in F1 with Sergio Perez their Mexican driver taking podium position twice already.
Sauber said: “As far as I can see it’s just a handful of people in the paddock who can’t get used to not knowing by Friday who’s going to win on Sunday. The fans see it in a different light. They’re delighted with the unpredictability, the sheer variety and the unbelievably close competition.”
