Featuring a new squared headlight as against a round headlight seen on Vespa VX, the new Vespa S also has mirrors of a different shape and a repositioned tail light. Overall look of the new scooter is same. It sits on powder coat painted three spoke alloy wheels and features a well designed instrument panel, all of which come together to offer a more premium appeal to the Vespa S automatic scooter.
Engine on board Piaggio Vespa S is the same as seen on board Vespa LX125 and VX- a 125cc single cylinder, air cooled engine offering 10 bhp peak power and 10.6 Nm torque. It is mated to a CVT transmission. The Vespa S receives 200mm front disc brakes while rear features drum brakes. Suspension for the rear is in the form of monoshock systemm while the front has single side hydraulic system. As far as mileage of the new Vespa S is concerned, Imran Khan added that the mileage of Vespa S will be 60+ kmpl.
