Sportsbike fans in Pune have a new reason to rejoice as the city just received Southern Asia’s first Piaggio Motoplex premium multi-brand two wheeler outlet. The Motoplex was inaugurated today in the presence of Mr. Stefano Pelle, Managing Director, Piaggio India at Pune Nagar Road, Yerwada. The store aims to offer a complete modern retailing experience for the buyers of all the three brands – Vespa, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi.
The advanced retail store is located in top global metropolises like Shanghai, New York City, Milan, etc. The one-storied store not only sells a comprehensive range of the prestigious Italian Group but also hosts a customer lounge which provides facilities like wi-fi. The Motoplex store provides a platform for enthusiasts to share their experiences and passion for motorcycling.
The Piaggio group is the oldest European two wheeler brand. The Piaggio group in India operates through its subsidiary Piaggio Vehicles Public Limited (PVPL).
The most known brand from Piaggio group in India among the common people is Vespa. It was re-introduced in India in April 2012 and quickly gained popularity through its nostalgic retro classic design and powerful engines. Currently, it sells the newly launched Vespa SXL and VXL.
The enthusiasts know Piaggio by Aprilia with its rich motorsporting history. The Motoplex store will house the Tuono V4 twins, the two popular RSV4’s, Mana 850, the SRV 850 ABS scooters, the three Caponord 1200s and the Dorsoduro 1200 from Aprilia. Moto Guzzi was established in 1921 and is the second oldest continuous seller of two wheelers. The Motoplex store will sell the Moto Guzzi California custom and touring SE and the Griso 1200 8E SE. Below the showroom is the workshop where the products are serviced and repaired.
