Porsche 911 celebrates 50th anniversary with Carrera S 50 Years Edition

To mark 50th anniversary of their 911 sports car, Porsche has revealed images of their new Carrera S 50 Years Edition. This special Porsche, will show itself publicly for the first time at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year, the same venue where the first 911 was revealed in 1963.

Limited to just 1963 units, the special anniversary 911 will be based on existing 911 Carrera S, though it will be seen with a 44 mm wider body and unique exterior styling which will include Porsche Active Suspension Management and sports exhaust system. The Special Edition will be priced at £92,257 (INR 79.58 lakhs), as sales begin in the UK by Sep 2013.

To be available in two colors of darker Graphite Gray and lighter Geyser Gray metallic along with its regular black, the 911 Carrera S 50 Years Edition will bear a ‘50’ badge marking its special anniversary edition. The special edition will also sport high gloss window frames, SportDesign exterior mirrors and Fuchs 20” alloy wheels.

Interiors will see the ‘50’ logo depicted on its seat headrests and rev counter besides aluminum door plates. Sports seats will be leather trimmed in Agate Gray or Black while decorative stitching to ensure that this special edition stands apart. Also part of the interior make up of this special edition is a 4.6” touch screen with the latest of navigation and infotainment along with automatic climate controls.
