Porsche Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS launched in India

After launching 911 Targa last month in India, Porsche has announced two more cars this month. They are Boxster and Cayman in Gran Turismo Sport (GTS) principal, with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) chassis.

Porsche Boxster GTS

Fitted with 6 cylinder 3.4 liter engines, power is boosted by 15 hp with the Boxster GTS offering peak power of 330 hp while the Cayman GTS now offers 340 hp. Torque is also increased significantly with addition 10 Nm seen on both models.

The Sports Chrono package comes as standard on both cars, which will work along with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox and Sport Plus mode which in turn will result in increased top speed. Boxster GTS will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds and Cayman GTS is able to reach this 4.8 seconds. Top speeds on board both models stands at 279 kmph and 283 kmph respectively while fuel efficiency is at 8.2 liters per 100 km (12.19 kmpl).

Porsche Cayman GTS

Features on board GTS versions of Boxster and Cayman will immediately draw attention of sports car aficionados in the country. PASM will be offered as standard on both models while front and rear ends have also been modified and include blackened bi-xenon headlight and Porsche Dynamic Light System. Tyres measure 235/35 in front and 265/35 at the rear affixed to 20” wheels. Both the two seater sports models will receive standard sports seats and leather interiors accentuated by Alcantara.

All Porsche dealerships across India will have Boxster and Cayman GTS models on display. Boxster GTS is priced at INR 1,12,90,000 while the Cayman GTS has a price tag of INR 1,15,36,000 ex-showroom Maharashtra. Porsche Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS will rival the likes of Jaguar F-Type.
