The new Porsche Boxster gets ready to be launched in UK markets and huge billboards have been erected advertising the same. But there is a problem with these billboards advertising the new Porsche, the name of the car itself has been misspelled.Instead of advertizing as Boxster, the billboards advertizes Boxter.

This was noted by a reader from Jalopnik, who photographed the billboard in question only to realize that, this was not the only billboard where the name of the vehicle was wrongly spelt. Every billboard in and around London bears the wrong spelling of Boxster and though the company is not to blame we are sure the advertising agency has a lot of explaining to do.

Boxster is a coined word but none the less it should have been spelt according to the German company Porsche’s desires. The name Boxster is derived from a combination of two words – ‘Boxer’  a name given to the vehicle due to its horizontally placed engine and ‘Roadster’  for the car’s open top design and two seater capacity.
