Premium Nissan Terrano and Renault Duster, same same yet different
Japanese car makers, Nissan, have unveiled the new Terrano SUV. While the vehicle will go on sale only by October, just ahead of the festive season in India, buyers can pre-book from 1st September onward.
To be positioned above Renault Duster and to be available at a sub 10 lakh rupee price tag, Nissan Terrano has been seen with interiors. Beige trims dominate the interiors to offer a more premium finish. Seats look comfortable and overall, the interiors are given a better appeal as compared to that seen in the Duster. silver-finished accents around the glossy, piano black centre console is hard to miss
AC vents are rectangular in shape with chrome linings while the 2 DIN music system is also more up market.Three spoke steering wheel on the Terrano also beats that on the Duster where looks and design is concerned. Terrano sits on 16″ alloy wheels and gets reengineered front and rear ends. Wide-spaced tail lamps help identify a terano from teh rear. Coloured roof rails, silver-finished skid plates and a chrome finisher strip on the tailgate complete the vehicles sturdy, and sporty outlook.
No details of technology have been revealed with the company keeping the same a closely guarded secret only to be revealed closer to official launch. To be available in a choice of 6 colors, Terrano will be the second SUV sold by Nissan India and comes after the X Trail model. It will also be produced from Renault Nissan joint manufacturing unit in Oragadam, Chennai.
