Participants to the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) should be fully prepared in mind, body and machine. It is a challenge not meant for the faint hearted and is divided into various stages over a period of 6 days. Participants will have to driver 250 kms from south to north of Goa and will be put through 30 special stages so as to test their driving and recovery skills.
With only 50 slots open for registration, 40 are for Indian participants while 10 are for international participants. RFC events are divided into seven classes and two rankings to include Petrol or diesel engines not exceeding 1600cc and Petrol and diesel engines from 1601cc to 2600cc, while ATVs will have their own class.
Entry fees for Indian participants for Competitors and Touring Vehicles is at INR 75,0000 and INR 10,000 respectively while international participants will be charged $ 2,500 and $ 333 respectively.

Participants will have to contend with incessant rain, steep and slippery slopes and deep ruts. They will also be faced with flooded rivers and landslides thus making the challenge even more treacherous.
A special Environment Award will be given to the competitor or group who display utmost care and attention to the preservation of the environment, while the winning team in this challenge will get automatic entry to RFC event in Malaysia.
