Sarkar joined Ford Motors in 1996 and was manager of Lincoln Global Business Strategies in the US. He has over 17 years of experience in product and consumer marketing and has held several key posts till date.
He will report to Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India. Besides this new appointment of Sarkar, Ford India has also appointed Rahul Gautam as General Manager – Consumer Marketing. Earlier B Car Product Marketing Manager at Ford Asia Pacific, Gautam will take over responsibility for conceptualization and execution of brand management programs in India.
Vinay Raina was also appointed as General Manager – Product Marketing. Earlier General Manager – Sales Planning Raina will exclusively look into marketing of the Ford portfolio in India. The marketing team will be headed by Anurag Mehrotra, Vice president – Sales who assumed his position in February this year.
