The appointment of Mr. Ranjit Yadav as Passenger Car Business Unit at Tata Motors has been confirmed by Tata Motors. Ex Director of Volkswagen India Sales & Marketing Mr. Neeraj Garg has been appointed Vice President Commercial for Passenger Car Business Unit while incumbent VP of Passenger Car Business Unit. -Mr R Ramakrishna will move on to a corresponding position at the company’s Commercial Vehicles Business Unit.

Mr. Yadav joins Tata Motors following his resignation as Country Head (India) at Samsung India Electronics Limited prior to which he was with Hewlett-Packard, Philips Electronics and Ponds India Limited. Mr. Garg on the other hand worked with Volkswagen prior to his appointment at Tata Motors while he also served at Nissan Motors and Honda Siel Cars India Limited. R Ramakrishnan’s allegiance with Tata Motors goes back to 1985 when he joined as a Graduate Engineer Trainee.

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company with consolidated revenues to the tune of Rs.1,65,654 crores during the period 2011-12. The company operates through their subsidiaries in countries like UK, South Korea, Spain, South Africa and Thailand. Tata Motors is also a market leader not only in passenger vehicles but also in commercial vehicles and is among world’s fourth largest truck and bus manufacturers.
