Renault Duster 4×4 interiors spied before launch
Renault India is all set to make their Duster SUV even more tempting very soon. First launched in July 2012, the Duster is finally going to receive the much awaited 4×4 variant, which will be launched in September, just before the Diwali festive season.
Renault Duster 4×4 will officially be christened as Duster ’4WD’. It is ideally suited for off road excursions and cross country travel. Duster 4×4 110 PS RxZ variant will be powered by a 1.5 liter K9K turbo diesel engine offering outputs of 108 bhp and 248 Nm torque while being mated to a six speed manual gearbox. It will be available in only one engine option.
On board features will include Anti-Lock braking system, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, dual airbags, integrated music, alloy wheels and electrically adjustable wing mirrors.
As you can see in the spy images in this post, Duster 4×4¬†features a rotary dial for drive mode selection, also seen on the Nissan X-Trail (no longer available in India). Here the driver can select from three drive mode – 2WD, Auto and Lock. 2WD powers front wheels offering higher level of fuel efficiency, Auto mode supplies necessary torque to wheels for added road grip while Lock supplies equal torque to all four wheels at all times when tackling slushy or rocky terrain.
Price of Renault Duster 4×4 is expected to be between INR 12.9 – 15 lakhs.
