Being one of the sponsor of the tournament, Renault India awarded their all new SUV, Duster to Virat Kohli for his outstanding performance with the cricket bat. Virat Kohli was awarded the new car by Len Kurren, Sales & Marketing, VP, Renault India. After receiving Renault Duster Man of the Series award, Virat Kohli and the entire Indian cricket team got on the new car and took a victory lap. Virat Kohli is a brand ambassador for Toyota Kirloskar Motors, a deal which he signed in April this year.
Renault Duster was launched in India last month. Renault Duster is launched with a host of new features which were not seen earlier in the segment in which it is launched. One needs to experience it to believe it. For starters pricing is competitive. Renault Duster petrol variant is priced from Rs.7.19 lakhs while its diesel counterpart is priced from Rs.7.99 lakhs.
Ideally designed for long distance travel, the Renault Duster has boot capacity of 459 liters which can be enhanced to 1000 liters with back seats folded down. It possesses 205mm of ground clearance while having a turning radius of 5.2m. Petrol option offers 104 PS power, 5 speed transmission and fuel efficiency at 13.24 kmpl.
Its diesel engine offers 85 PS, 5 speed manual transmission, fuel efficiency at 20.45 kmpl and a 110 PS, six speed manual transmission with fuel efficiency at 19.01 kmpl. Duster will be concentrating their attention on the Indian market. Besides sales, the company will be making India a major manufacturing hub as they set plans in motion for producing the Duster from their Chennai plant. From here the Duster will make its way to UK markets where it will be marketed under the brand name Dacia.
