Rolls Royce Dawn India launch by early 2016

With India, Rolls Royce shares an important and historic relationship. India was the first major market for the brand outside of the UK. Back in the early 20th century, India accounted for 20% of Rolls Royce global sales, thanks to the lavish lifestyle of Indian Maharajas. The Telegraph also reveals that back in the day, on average, Indian Maharajas owned 3.5 Rolls Royce cars.

Today, times have changed. The Maharaja’s are still amongst their biggest clientèle in the country. But, now the brand is also looking at other avenues where they are expecting new demand. Rolls Royce India wishes to enter the hospitality sector with their range of cars which will be offered to select hotels and resorts as fleet.

Rolls Royce Dawn is expected to be priced above $300,000 in international markets.

Apart from this, they will also make sure that India is updated with their latest models. All new cars which Rolls Royce launches, will also be launched in India within few months of global launch. The brand did the same with Wraith, which was launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2013, India launch of the car took place at August 2013.

They also plan to do the same with the newly launched Dawn. The convertible variant of Wraith will be launched in India by early 2016. The open top Dawn model will join the other Rolls Royce cars on sale in India which includes the Ghost Series II priced from INR 4.5 crores, Wraith priced at INR 4.6 crores, Phantom with a price tag of INR 8 crores and the Phantom with extended wheel base version priced from INR 9 crores. All prices vary according to the level of customization demanded by buyers.
