Roy Hodgson goes for ‘meeting of waters’ boat trip in Manaus, Brazil
Yesterday, England manager Roy Hodgson, Juliane Melo of Amazonia International Relations and Adrian Bevington, manager Director of Club England visit Arena Amazonia on February 17, 2014 in Manaus, Brazil.
The FA manager went to the “meeting of waters” boat trip, to see the confluence of the Solimoes and Negro rivers at the Brazilian city of Manaus in central Amazonas. At the river conjunction, the muddy, tan-colored waters of the Solimoes meet the “black” water of the Negro River.
FA England manager Roy Hodgson then visited the Amazon Theatre Opera House. England manager Roy Hodgson then spent some time on his visit to Arena Amazonia, where he met with stadium engineers, and was later available for interview at Arena Amazonia, as well as a photo-op. Adrian Bevington, managing director of Club England, British Ambassador Alex Ellis; Arthur Virgilio do Carmo Ribeiro Neto, the mayor of Manaus; Roy Hodgson; Omar Aziz, governor of the Amazon; and Foreign Secretary William Hague all visited Arena Amazonia.
