Royal Enfield Bullet 500 FI (Fuel Injection) to launch soon

With Royal Enfield updating their entire line-up to BS4 norms, they are also updating their motorcycles to FI, one at a time. Last week we reported about how Royal Enfield Himalayan will soon gain FI and ABS. Now, the company has updated their site with details about the Bullet 500 FI.

New RE Bullet 500 FI delivers max power of 26.1 bhp and peak torque of 40.9 Nm, thanks to their 499 cc Unit Construction Engine (UCE).

Other updates as per RE, include 19 inch shod with new MRF Zapper front tires for stability and sure shot grip on the roads, vintage tail lamp assembly features a classic design, an aesthetically designed new pillion grab-rail with a cushion end, one touch electric starter for ease, Royal Enfield Winged badge now in special silver and gold dual tone livery, and headlight casing features the Signature twin pilot lamps known as ‘Tiger Eye Lamps’ for that Bullet look. The headlamp is traditional but with a powerful halogen bulb to provide good illumination.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 FI will be launched in a phased manner across the country. Initially the product will be launched in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi-NCR and Kerala which have traditionally been the best markets for the Bullet.

Compared to the older Bullet 500, the FI version will be more efficient and responsive. Engine vibrations are also expected to be reduced. More details will be revealed once the bike is officially launched. Some dealers have already started accepting bookings for the Bullet 500 FI, with deliveries expected to start from May 2017.
