Royal Enfield Continental GT cafe racer launch 11th September 2013
Royal Enfield, a part of the Eicher Motors Group will launch Continental GT tomorrow. The special event is being held at Ace Cafe in London on 11th September. T
Royal Enfield has been in continuous production mode since 1901 thus making it the world’s oldest motorcycle company. The new Continental GT is a modern classic bringing with it the age old design of the original GT along with the latest of tech specs.
The company looks to expand their distribution networks both in international markets and in India and the company will be launching the Continental GT in India later this year.
The Royal Enfield plant was commissioned at Oragadam, Chennai earlier this year has ensured production operations are being speeded up so as to reduce waiting periods. This year’s production from both plants will total 1.75 lakh units while next year production is expected to reach 2.5 lakh units.
Products of Royal Enfield include Bullet, Classic and Thunderbird in 350 and 500cc displacements. These models are exported to over 40 countries from India. In India, the company operates from 11 company operated showrooms and 250 dealers located in major cities and towns across the country.
