Despite falling sales being experienced by many two wheeler companies in the past few months, Royal Enfield has been forging ahead where their sales figures are concerned. The company which is well known for their Classic Chrome and Bullet has now launched the new Thunderbird 500cc and 350cc which is expected to take their sales targets to a new level.

Sales during the year 2010 stood at 53,000 units which leapt to 75000 units in the year 2011 while this year sales are expected to cross the 1 lakh mark before the year is out. Thunderbird was launched way back in 2002 when it came in with a 350cc engine of which the company sells about 1000 units per month.

This model is now on its way out with the launch of two new super bikes with talks of a new Café Racer coming in next year. Thunderbird 500cc will cost Rs.1.82,571 while its 350cc counterpart will be priced at Rs.1,43,346. Sporting a 20 liter capacity petrol tank, the 500cc possess 27.2 bhp power and 41.3 Nm torque.
