Everyone wants a piece of a well done piece of metal. Same is the case with Saudi Arabia, where Tata Motors received an order to supply 1000 air conditioned school buses that are estimated around $50 million (around Rs 230 crore).
The agreement has been signed between Tata Motors and Hafil Transport, Saudi Arabia, for this supply of 1000 buses.
Tata plans to complete the delivery of these buses by April and complete the entire inventory by the end of this year.
Though there have been no solid conformance from the company about the value of this order, sources do confirm the estimated value as $50 million.
The buses are required in large numbers since they will be used for transportation of girl students in schools operated by the country's ministry of education.
Hafil Transport is a known name in Saudi Arabia, with over 6500 vehicles at its disposal and is one of the largest coach operator there.
