Fake parts used in engines & relative systems can result in excessive fuel consumption. It may not seem a burden to an individual but on the whole 109 million litres of petrol and eight million litres of diesel is the estimated loss, amounting to Rs 6 billion in losses per annum.

Fake parts used in power trains and drive line leads to excessive wear and tear and drop in fuel efficiency due to frictional losses. And let’s not forget emissions that could increase by about 10% to 15%.
